Inspired By: Vintage Cross Stitch Foods

My husband and I bought this set of cross stitch foods at an antique mall while exploring the tiny, sleepy town of Stuart, Virginia on our honeymoon. They jump-started our continuously growing collection of quirky needlework, which takes up a large feature wall in our living room. I've been thinking for a while now that I wanted to try to translate them into watercolor, and this weekend I finally took a crack at it. They're not perfect, but I'm happy that I was able to capture the cartoonish cuteness of the originals!
